The Violinist Seok-Jung Lee started to play the violin at the Juiliard School pre college in United States. Then he came back to Korea, after the graduation of Yewon School, he entered Seoul Arts highschool at the top of his class. Through Korea Arts University of Arts undergraduate(BFA) and graduate program(MFA), he went to America and got admitted in Yale University on full scholarship, Harry B. Jepson Scholarship, Irving S. Gilmore Scholarship. At Yale University, he went through the master’s course(M.M) and advanced studies(AD).
He won numerous rewarding prizes such as Joongang Daily News, Hankook Daily News, Chosun Daily News, Ewha & Gyunghyang Concours domestically. The Seok-Jung Lee started to be noticed by the public since he won the grand prize on string section at the MAK competition supervised by the Music Association of Korea. As a soloist, he performed with KBS Symphony Orchestra, Korean Symphony Orchestra, Gangnam Symphony Orchestra, Jeonju Symphony Orchestra, Jeju Philharmonic Orhcestra, Korean Soloists, KUNA Symphony Orchestra domestrically and also at Seoul Arts Center, Kumho Art Hall, Morse recital hall and Sudler hall. As a soloist, he was acclaimed by the audience through various repertoires.
He participated in 60th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between United States and Republic of Korea Commemorative Concert supervised by Ministry of Foreign of Korea, performed at Avery Fisher hall lincoln center, New York, Washington Kennedy Center, LA Ford Theatre.
Lee, as the professor of Department of Music at Inje University and the Concertmaster of Seoul tuttil ensemble and DITTO Orchestra, Avec String Quartet leader has been active in his career.
